30 before 30 Challange # 1

As I was looking over my 30 before 30 list, I decided that I would tackle #23. Start and Finish the 30 day Shred but in addition, I would also join the #eatclean ladies and try 30 days of eating clean + the shred.
What is about this year that has inspired so many women to think about being healthy? Maybe it's just the women in my life but I am seriously impressed by the overwhelming amount of folks who are part of the #eatclean movement. A few key inspirations are @Bubblegarm and @ebrushkaaa, both amazing bloggers who earlier this year decided to create "food diary" accounts on Instagram @officialfooddiary and @eattrainbefit and have left a mark

Today, I am on DAY 3 and am really proud of myself for sticking with it
Day 1: Early Morning 30 Day Shred Level 1
Day 2: Late afternoon 30 Day Shred Level 1 + Jog/Walk
Day 3: Early Morning 30 Day Shred + Jog/Walk

Inspiration is always required...when making decisions to change your lifestyle, so I thought I would share a few of mine.

Jog Day 2

My 30 before 30 list

So, It’s the day before my 29th birthday. I’m not sure how I feel about it… part of me feels like I should have accomplished so much more by now - the other half feels like I’ve come a long way. A year from now - I’ll be turning 30, and that definitely feels like a milestone. So instead of wondering what this birthday could mean, I’ve decided to focus on what I’d like my next birthday to mean. I’ve decided to write a 30 before 30 list, which is a random compilation of things I’ll use to inspire myself for the next 365 days.

Hello November!

Hello there...I know it has been a long, long while since I have written (or actually even logged into this account).

Life is life, and sometimes it tends to move faster than you think, and what that means is I've had a lot to do, and not enough time and this blog unfortunately has been at the bottom of my to-do list...but I'm here now and really looking forward to connecting with everyone!

The best and easiest way of course, a photo diary of where I've been spending my time.

Graduation

So I can finally explain why I've been missing in actiion, this past weekend was my graduation :)

After 2 years (plus a summer or so, I've finally finished my masters, and it feels pretty darn good. This past semester has been really hectic and so I apologize for the lack of posts, and overall follow up with twitter and the rest of the blog world.

I'm finally able to enjoy my evenings and look forward to moving onto bigger things (hopefully:). The upside is that I havemuch more time to finally go back to blogging, which I have really missed.

So with that, I'll leave you with my current INs and OUTS

In
Graduation - pretty self explanatory. Here I am enjoying the sun.

Summer - I am looking forward to my first summer off from school in a long, long time.
One of my oldest friends is getting married this fall, so I'll be starting off the summer with a little trip to Cancun to celebrate her bachelorette. Any suggestions or tips from those of you who have been?

Etsy - I have been buying quite a few things from the site latley, I am waiting for the peices to come in so that I can share them with you.

Out
Large Handbags - I am currently using the studded "celebrity - faux alexander wang bag" from Ebay. I love the bag, but I feel like I have been carrying my life with me and it's starting to get a little tiresome. So I'm on the hunt for a smaller more efficent bag - oh 1st world problems, I tell you.

Work - I need a vacay, its been a long spring and with graduation + work I feel a little burnt out.

Sunglasses - I am on the hunt for a new pair, I lost my favorite glasses at work event and can't make up my mind on what I need next.

Allergies - I thought moving from the valley to SF would have solved this issue, but this year I have been dealing with a major case of allergies. So I show up to work each morning, looking like a hot mess. It could be pretty funny, if I wasn't so annoyed! Ah well, hopefully it'll all go away soon. In the meantime, I'll embrace it - I just picked these up.

Zig Zags

I've been so obsessed with pinterest latley, and the one thing that keeps catching my eye are the gorgeous zig-zag chevron patterns. Here are a few of the item's I'm currenltly loving:
This gorgeous lamp shade, that I missed out out was only $20 from Target!!

I saw this dress on the @Nateberkus show the other day, on the @cheapchicas 30 winter outfits look and I needed to have it. Of course it was SOLD OUT, but there was a backorder available and so I'm crossing my fingers that this little dress will find its way into my closet!

I've been eyeing this DVF Chevron dress for sometime, and this is the perfect alternative

Holiday Red

Small things make the days before the holidays a little cheerier. For those of us who are still sitting behind a desk and looking at a monintor instead of being off and joining the rest of the world in retail therapy (or I mean Family bonding time) we have to do what we can to make the best of it.

For me, that involved a few simple things...
New nail color, just in time for christmas - this time I went with an unusal read, for me anyway. It came in form form of two gelish shades (bad, I know). I have queen of hearts on all my fingers, with an extra coat of good gossip on my ring finger.

A good book and a rediscovered product - today they come in the form of these two:
Deconstroted Sammy and L'Occtaine
Holiday Decor in the lobby, it makes the morning a little less crazy...

Designer Spotlight: Nina Cortes

I'm a bit of a Project anything junkie, I loved the original version on Bravo, and followed it when it went to Lifetime. Now some of you may argue that it lost some of its edge, but I stil think its an innovative show and concept, and always look forward to having it in my DVR.
So you're probably not that suprised that I've been loving the spin-off Project Accessory. This show is much more "me". I'm secretley obsessed with jewelry, most of you have a makeup collection, I do too (a small one) but its my accessories that I adore the most. A great bag, the perfect earring - those things really make my day!

This season my favorite designer has been Nina. I love her personal style, she had a modern spin on the beach life that really appeals to me. I'll let her work do the rest of the talking...
The complete look from the Kenneth Cole Challange
This necklace was intersting because it had a front and back,
and the metal was painted gold and black to give a three toned effect (I heart it!)
